Why I gravitate towards fringe style boots.

My Western fashion roots

I have always been a fan of fringes in fashion. I don’t know what it is, but I am drawn towards them like a moth to a flame. It may be perhaps that growing up in Utah meant a lot of things to me. This could be a novel of its own, not meant for succinct blog posts. But since we are talking about fashion, let’s keep our focus there. Utah is an icon of the American West, with settlements springing up all over the good old Beehive State. There is a western vibe that is deeply-rooted, and depending on where you land in Utah, it could be subtle or in-your-face.

Why I love Western-style boots

Yes, I did grow up listening to country music and I still love it. I went to country dances all throughout high school and college, and you better believe I was sporting my best western–inspired boots! Since then, my glory days of “Cotton Eyed Joe,” “Macarena,” and “Cupid Shuffle” are long gone – now that I am a Cali girl. Don’t get me wrong, I am a country girl at heart. Western–inspired boots have a special place in my heart.
