Why the Boyfriend Blazer / Long Blazer Is Amazing
Guys, I’m so excited to share one of my newly-discovered wardrobe staples: the Long Blazer and Boyfriend Blazer.
When you initially see it, it may seem a little business-y…but that’s exactly the point! As a wife, mom, social media presence, and entrepreneur, my life is always so hustle-and-bustle and go-go-go. I love how the boyfriend blazer / long blazer perfectly accents my ever-busy life, and, oddly enough?, they give me total confidence. I feel totally fierce and unstoppable when I slip my favorite boyfriend blazer on. The pictured one I’m wearing is the limited edition NWT Chriselle Lim x JOA Tan Striped Blazer that I found at Nordstrom Rack, which is unfortunately unavailable at the moment; however, keep reading for some more trendy and fashion-forward options.
You may be wondering why I love blazers so much. Honestly? It’s hard to explain. I guess I’d start with this: I feel that they just add the perfect touch of elegance and class to any outfit, and they just make you look like you know what you’re doing! I find that blazers are the perfect way to add a little “I’m a business owner” vibe to every outfit…even if you’re not. You know what I mean? They just make you look and feel a certain way – beautiful, powerful, and important. 😉
If you’re equally as excited as I am to try this style, I’d love to offer some recommendations. While the pictured boyfriend blazer from Nordstrom Rack is currently unavailable, some of my other favorites include this oversize linen blazer, this striped button back blazer, this boyfriend blazer, and finally, this cinch sleeve blazer. When I’m not wearing the stunning pictured blazer, these are my absolute favorite go-tos.
I mean, really, a boyfriend blazer can be so universal…you can pair a blazer with shorts and a classic graphic tee, a classy shirt and gorgeous skirt, a flattering dress, and even your favorite pair of jeans. The possibilities are endless, as blazers are SO versatile.
What do you think about blazers – would (or do) you wear them or are they not for you? Do you vibe with this perfect balance of masculine and feminine fashion trend? Let me know in the comments below!
Wishing you a happy weekend! Thanks for reading!

I love boyfriend blazers too – they look great and are so easy to wear! Love your outfit!
I love the way your pair that beautiful blue dress with the boyfriend blazer. Those shoes are to die for.
I am so obsessed with blazers lately. I love how you styled your here, and I also love wearing them with ripped jeans. It’s such a sophisticated addition to any outfit.
You’re right, they look business at first but are also a great option for those times when you aren’t sure what’s going on that day.
I love blazers!! I need to go buy more for Fall, it definitely gives you a professional chic look! <3
Such a professional but comfortable look! I’m typically always cold, so something a little bit warmer is key!
I admit, I haven’t worn blazers much in at least a decade, probably closer to two – BUT my basic black blazer was once a staple in my wardrobe and daily look back in my college days. So I am glad they are making a comeback! 🙂
I have never been one to wear blazers. They always seem stuffy to me. However, in this post, you make it look for comfortable and classy with the dresses and all. Thanks for this!
