My husband and I love wood watches from JORD. Remember, my post on Spending Time With Your Honey Without Spending Money?  Well, Albert was sporting his own JORD Wood Watch while Christmas tree shopping with me and he hasn’t been able to take it off ever since!  You can imagine my excitement when I was gifted with my very own!  I decided to take my new friend “JORD” on a date as we explore Three Arch Bay Beach together for the first time.

Living in California has so many perks!  Some of you may know that I grew up in Utah where it SNOWS! Now, that I call California my home (my blood has thinned out substantially) —  I can’t handle the cold!!! I love that living in Orange County I have access to many amazing beaches so close to home.  There are so many beaches here still to be discovered by me and my family. Exploring Three Arch Bay Beach for the first time and taking “JORD” with me was absolutely surreal.  I mean — LOOK at the pictures!

With being a Pisces I have a natural inclination to water!  It relaxes, heals, and enchants me.  I definitely feel in my element around water.  There is such a strong connection to Mother Earth when I am at the beach.  The beach (or water) is one of the five elements of The Five Elements Theory. A Chinese philosophy used to describe interactions and relationships between things. The five elements include fire, earth, metal, water and wood.

Let me share with you the element of wood.  Wood is symbolic to growth and its season is Spring.  It stands for planting of seeds and new growth.  Characteristics of wood are bold actions, planning and starting new projects, imagination and compassion.  It also includes idealism and competition.  Knowing what wood represents in the Five Elements Theory carried a greater meaning in wearing my JORD Wood Watch.

I would have to say that “JORD” and I had a great first date at the beach!  Feeling the water between my toes, the sand under my feet, and the air running through my hair I felt so alive!  The calmness of the beach also gave me time to reflect.  While the energy of the waves invigorated me with new ideas. It is so ying and yang right!?!

According to The Five Elements wood also represents decision making and a go-to attitude.  The ability to create change and an do-or-die approach to life. From an Asian standpoint this pioneering spirit is very American which resonates to me as I have been pursuing my new career as a lifestyle blogger over the last 10 months!
