Make way, leopard print, and move over, zebra print! There is an animal print that many fashionistas are going crazy for, and that is the snake print. I must admit that my fierce attraction to this print is probably because my zodiac sign is the snake. But who can resist the look of the snake print? It is bold, edgy, and undeniably sultry. And you better believe you can treat any snake-print item as a neutral when creating your outfit of the day.

A Versatile New Neutral
When you think of neutral colors, black, white, gray, and, sometimes, brown and beige come to mind. Though these colors are sophisticated when styled right, they can be boring and well — safe. Let’s move away from the “safe zone” and consider the snake print as your new neutral.
Snake print can be the perfect backdrop for your outfit. But, remember, once the snake print is found in the design of your shoes, jacket, handbag, skirt, etc., keep the other elements of your look basic. Case in point, my boots here act as the neutral focal piece, and my midi dress in denim blue keeps the look uncomplicated.
The Fabulous Rainbow Snake
I have been looking for a pair of snakeskin boots for the longest time. It wasn’t easy to find the right pair because I needed one shaft with a large enough circumference for my muscular calves and preferred to have boots with a stiletto heel that wasn’t annoyingly high. When I spotted these boots online at DSW, I took a risk and purchased it. I really like to try shoes on beforehand. But in this case, I had to take a chance.
Jessica Simpson Saferra Boot, $79
When I received my boots, I was ecstatic to find it fits me well and is comfortable. I love the color of gray, white, and black in these snake-print boots. I think it acts as the perfect neutral base.
With all that said and done, it is also useful to note that the snake print comes in many other colors: yellow, pink, blue, and even rainbow, for example. So why not venture out and try new colors in the snake print? I got these yellow snake-printed boots and another pair in pink from Anthropologie, and I can’t wait to show them to you.
Texture Matters
If you are a bit timid and worry about going all out and donning the snake print, don’t worry. I have got a stunning solution for you. Consider getting a neutral color of snakeskin, such as black or white, in snake-print texture. When the light hits just right, you can really see the details of the pattern. Visually, it’ll look simply incredible. It is details like this that really make a statement and express your wild side! So go forth, be bold, and let your new neutral be the beautiful snake print all season long.
