My kids and I love exercising together in our home gym. It instills in them the importance of establishing healthy habits and sticking to them even during stressful times, as working out is amazing for both mind and body.
My 9-year-old son Elijah and I have recently upped our shoe game by wearing our new Reebok sneakers during our family workouts. I have been wearing Reebok apparel and shoes since I was a teen and now my son loves his! We actually had an old Reebok treadmill, bench and free weights sitting in our garage before this self-isolation period began, but they are now being put to good use.
Supportive sports shoes are essential to prevent pain and injuries which can have a serious impact on your progress in the gym. I have a collection of running shoes, as I believe that wearing the right kind of shoes for your workout can directly affect your performance. Over the past few weeks, I have been wearing the Reebok Harman Run shoes and my son the Reebok Flexagon Energy 2.0, which can both be found online and in-store at Kohl’s. The Harman Run sneakers are a great pick, as they give me the support that I need and the freedom of motion required for exercises such as skaters or lunges. The dual-layer foam sole is shock-absorbing and provides cushioning molded to my foot while the rubber outsole provides traction, which is great for cross-training and for running on the treadmill.
I’m trying my best to be consistent with my workouts even while at home; my number #1 tip would be to schedule your workouts and to stick to your plan. Lucky for me, my kids keep me in check and consider our gym time a fun activity, hard for me to say no to that kind of quality bonding time! As a busy mom, I love the versatility of my Reebok Harman Run shoes. They are comfortable and stylish enough to run errands in but can also be worn straight from the grocery store to the gym. Their cool retro look means that they look as good worn with jeans and a t-shirt as they do with gym apparel.
With Mother’s Day approaching, why not treat yourself and your children to matching Reebok Harman Runs and go for a jog around the block together? I know we will!
