Happy Friday the 13th! It feels so weird to say that out loud. I grew up in a very superstitious Asian family and with our Western culture considering this an unlucky day – my kids and I were feeling anxious about this jinxed day earlier this week. Well, I am here to tell you today has been a very blessed day!
What we believe in ourselves and in the world around us literally creates the kind of energy and experiences that surround us. I choose today to feel gratitude and joy. Happiness for God in my life, my precious family, the beautiful area I live in, and the opportunity to wake up every day to serve those I love passionately. And…..how lucky I am to have a job where I create inspiring content for you everyday as a lifestyle blogger!

Speaking of luck, isn’t this red bell sleeve sheath dress absolutely charming!?! It is only for $79 and available in sizes 2 – 10, I am wearing a size 6. The bell sleeves are so elegant and I love the energy it gives off when I move my arms! I feel like a beautiful butterfly. The zipper detail along the length of the sleeve adds an urban flair that is edgy and chic.

You would think I would of selected neutral colored accessories to offset this bold colored dress? But, no I did not. I chose an equally compelling color – yellow to amp up this look. Yellow is vibrantly shown in my beautiful floral drop sequined earrings that are both unique and feminine from Amazon.
The elegant yellow python leather clutch purse from Mel Boteri ties this look all together. I love that the clasp incorporates a detachable jeweled brooch! Oh, the details!
My gorgeous khaki suede stilettos heels with rhinestone accents is an oldie from Missguided that I am still obsessed with and feel ultra sassy wearing (it’s sold out, but see here for another great option)! Don’t shy away from stilettos heels – you mamas out there!

I think this outfit is perfect to celebrate Friday the 13th because as I continued to research this “unlucky” day and the color psychology behind red and yellow I learned that the Chinese consider red and yellow to be very auspicious colors and endowed with favorable meaning! So, here’s to conquering this bewitching day with the power of yellow and red!
