Welcome to hump day! This week it has been raining all week here in once sunny Orange County, CA. The kids are having a hard time getting started for school in the mornings. I think it is so silly and funny that I have to plead with them to wear an appropriate coat for the weather. The innocence and nonchalance of being a kid are quite entertaining and at times frustrating. Well, at least they don’t have my worrywart trait. I am still reminiscing about our lazy days during winter break and wish we could have a second session so I can have all of my kids nestled home with me.
I love hats for so many reasons, but so many of us aren’t sure how to style a hat. For me, I have found that the best way to style a hat is if you are having a bad hair day, then a hat is your best friend. If the weather is not cooperating, a hat is your best friend. If you are feeling swanky or mysterious, a hat is your best friend. I have loved wearing hats since my days’ in middle school. There was this perfect floppy denim hat with a cute denim flower accent that made me feel so cool! I wore that hat to pieces and had a hard time letting it go.
Today, my hats range from ballcaps (to conceal a bad hair day), straw hats (for sun protection), and leather or wool hats to accentuate my OOTD! Whatever style question you may be….my advice? Put a hat on it!

I love this hat on you! I have a weirdly large head and hats look terrible on me 🙁
oh my gos girl i love this hat so much -i need to get it in my closet like asap ha
I am not much of a hat person. I have a few baseball-cap style that I will wear when I just don’t feel like doing my hair. But other than that, I have only one big floppy hat that I bought after thyroid surgery to help keep the sun off my neck that year. I really need to get more adventurous with hats because they are so cute!
This is an awesome hat. I have a few that I love but mostly just beanies. I really need to invest in a real hat!!
Hats are so fun! I love to wear my big floppy hat when we are on vacation on the beach. Sun protection AND it looks great.
I am so in love with that dress on you, it’s so pretty. And that hat is so fun!
Hats are so much fun! The one you picked looks amazing on you! I love the dress too.
I cant wear hats too much. LOL my had is huge plus i can never find one i look cute in. I love this hat on you. You are totally able to rock it and look amazing. I wish i could.
I’m more of a cap, cloche and beanie gal than a hat gal. I do love hats though because you can create a mood with them.
I don’t wear hats much except in summer. But in summer I love a big floppy-brimmed straw hat. Your hat looks so great on you!
I love your style. Just seeing how nice this looks on you, I’m contemplating getting a couple of hats.
Love this hat and the entire look! I think hats are such a great accessory.
You look gorgeous! My face and hats aren’t a good mixture at all. The purse is adorable.. No way in heck I would pay that for a purse EVER, but it is adorable!
Your dress is so pretty!
