Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Handbags
One of the fun things about my job is getting dressed up and playing make-believe for my style posts. I love to think of unique looks to inspire you to express yourself in fashion. Honestly, these mini-play sessions give me the opportunity to be creative and carefree. I love it! I tend to overthink things and it gets annoying! So, when it comes to fashion, I pick items that make me happy without little thought and it feels so liberating!
There is nothing more whimsical and dreamy than wearing a tulle skirt. And, I love the fact that mine is black giving it some edge…. a grown-up version of a tutu! My “babe” shirt (love this one too) was so fun to wear as it made me feel 21 again. LOL! Now, it belongs to my tween and looks even better on her! So, if you are ever feeling bored or uninspired put on a tulle skirt and dance. It will change your energy dramatically!
Handbag Lover
This whole outfit was selected to highlight my new baby, Saint Laurent Medium College Shoulder Bag! I have been eyeing this bag for a long time. Handbags are one of my favorite accessories to complete a look. The structured look of the Saint Laurent medium college shoulder bag is chic and minimalistic. The top handle makes it easy to carry. The gorgeous gold oversized curb chain allows you to use it as a crossbody. I love to touch its rich lambskin leather which features exquisite matelassé stitching. It is going to be so fun to sport this baby in all my style posts.
It was definitely an investment piece worth making for me. I also understand this choice may not be for everyone. There are some items in my wardrobe (like handbags) that I am choosing to save for rather than have several low-end pieces. I have found these items to be timeless. Also, these iconic purses usually hold up better in the long run because the materials and construction are of a premium quality.
Insider Tip
Here is a tip! You don’t need to drop several Benjamins to get a GOOD handbag! I have found spending just $200 – $400 on a handbag and even as low as $100 (search for those deals and stick to well-known brands) will serve you well. BTW, I am here to help you scour for those steals, so please stick with me. Bags less than this price range tend to show its age sooner and basically fall apart. Boo! But, I am pretty rough on my bags as they serve so many purposes for me.

This looks like something I might want to pass on to my wife! Thanks for sharing.
I love the red and blue bags you have listed at the bottom. Both look like great everyday bags. I really like your skirt too!
What a cute outfit, at my age anything that makes me feel like a kid again is a great choice. I get all of my bags from Nordstroms, love your picks!
The tulle skirt looks so fun! I have a friend who lives in NY who is in her late 40s and still wears her tulle skirts and high-heel shoes on her way to pole dancing class and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. I usually go for backpack or cross-body bags because my three year old still loves to be carried often when we are out and it lets me be hands-free on the bag.
I love that you shared backpack options! It’s what I’ve been looking for! Your shoes are fantastic!
Your outfit screams fun and the bags look great, too!
Love that you devoted an entire N Sale post to just handbags! Love all of your picks and that YSL bag is to DIE for!
This is a really cute look on you! You can never have too much black!
What a fabulous selection of handbags. That being said, the item that immediately caught my eye was the cute tulle skirt!
That YSL bag pairs nicely with your shoes. Nordstrom seems to have a very nice collection in every category…haven’t tried this brand yet

You have a great sense of style! Nordstrom has a great bags to offer but Girl, your Yves Saint Laurent is so pretty!
That really is a nice looking handbag. Not sure my daughter is there just yet though. I think she still likes her backpacks to go around with her or a messenger bag. I don’t know why. The rest of the outfit looks adorable on you. I really love the skirt.
That bag is incredible! Fabulous look overall, very chic. The boots are amazing too though I could not pull them off, but my 6yo (who has been quite the fashionista since she was 2, I kid you not) would go nuts over them!
Such a cute bag! Actually your entire outfit is on point, but I’m low key obsessing over the bag!
I enjoy shopping for bags. It seems like this Nordstrom sale is never ending.
So many cute bags to choose from! I’m loving the backpack trend as of late as it allows my hands to be free when I’m out with my kids.
