My First Magazine Feature – An Eight Page Spread in Uploader Magazine!

I got featured in Uploader Magazine – a magazine for content creators. Wahoo, I am so excited about this! This milestone is proof of why verbally sharing your intentions with yourself actually works. This is a huge accomplishment for me as I have been working so hard to be recognized as a fashion and beauty blogger. This creative space is highly saturated with talented and creative people and to be selected as one is quite humbling! In fact, I have been featured in eight full pages. No joke! Uploader Magazine has pages of inspiring content, interesting stories, and valuable tips from creatives all around the world! This mag is pure enjoyment for me. I love learning about other men and women who love what they do and making a business out of it.

I had the pleasure of meeting Uploader’s Editor in Chief Cheryl De Marco in Burbank, CA. She recently flew in from Italy where she resides with her family. She was a delight and I feel like we have been friends forever! She is a total powerhouse.

It is definitely surreal to think about where I am in my life right now. I have been blogging for close to 4 years and it hasn’t been an easy road. However, this business I have created all on my own — I am so proud of! I plan to continue growing it throughout all the seasons of my life. It is my dream job! I am totally pinching myself right now. xo

This is pages one and two which tells my story of a blogger! I love my logo and the photo is one of my favorites taken from @bleudogfotography in San Clemente, CA. This long flowy dress started my obsession with all things Anthropologie!

Pages five and six. This shot was so magical for me because I took this photo all by myself. It was my second attempt taking my own images. One of my goals is to learn how to shoot my own photos. I know I have a ways to go but I love to learn and challenge myself. Props to me for capturing this moment!

Pages seven and eight! The photo on the left was taken on a vacation to Florida. I had so much fun…sleeping in, shopping, working out, visiting friends and working on my business.  Though it wasn’t a vacation for my husband it was definitely for me! The photo on the right was taken right behind a Chinese restaurant in Laguna Niguel, CA. This was my first attempt taking my own photo! It was a big deal for me and I was trying to calm myself. Though I had people staring and a short timeframe to shoot due to the oncoming sunset – I managed to capture a few winning shots and felt absolutely empowered!

Andrea Rappaport who is on the cover is an amazing woman! She shares her story authentically — talks comedy, struggles as an actress, and the Me Too Movement.

Last year, I had a goal to be a writer for a magazine. Yes, I know it was a crazy intention but I wanted it. I needed an additional platform to share my passion and tips to help women live their best lives. Also, I know there is power in collaboration and especially with women-owned businesses. I reached out to a local online magazine and made the gesture. I told her I would love to be a contributing editor on beauty and fashion for her online mag. She welcomed the opportunity but nothing came to fruition. I was really disappointed.

Then, months later God had prepared this opportunity with Uploader Magazine. Not only was I featured in the magazine in a big way but now I am a contributing writer! I will author monthly articles on beauty which I am so thrilled about. I am so happy to see this publication making it BIG in the magazine industry and even happier to be a part of it! So, pumped to be a part of Cheryl’s incredibly talented team. Guys, remember to keep dreaming! Work for what you want, prime yourself for success and be open.
