Today, I woke up and was so excited to celebrate Mother’s Day with all of the amazing mothers in the world. There are so many women in my life that has blessed me with their example, service and support. I got down on my knees and thanked my Heavenly Father for my very own sweet mother who has a heart of gold. She is also fiercely loyal to her children and family and is one of the most selfless women I have known.
I also thanked God for the opportunity of being a mother to three amazing children. They continue to teach me to live life to the fullest, how to love the deepest, and how to see the world with eyes wide open. Being a mother is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but the rewards I receive surpass the struggles. They bring me so much joy and happiness. Each of my children are different with unique needs, interests, and personalities and I rely on God to teach me how to best mother and love them.
They were so excited to take me to Roger’s Gardens in Corona Del Mar, California for Mother’s Day. We have never been there before and have heard so many beautiful things about this place. It was a perfect day to explore this 7-acre garden featuring award winning garden, landscape and home designs. The setting is absolutely tranquil, picturesque, and inspiring. Roger’s Gardens created a spot for mothers to come and sit and get your photo taken in their stunning garden-scape and gifted each woman with a long stemmed colored rose. It was an experience I will forever treasure!
How blessed I am to be married to a man who honors motherhood and supports me in all that I do. I can’t tell how satisfying and reassuring it is to have a spouse that is hands on with raising and rearing our kids. Most nights, at bedtime we recount the funniest stories about our children and discuss the struggles we face as a parent. My ability to be an effective mother is strengthened by his support and devotion to me and our family unit.
I want to wish all of you moms out there — Happy Mother’s Day!!! May God continue to bless you on your path of motherhood and I encourage all of us to reach out and “mother” not only our own children but other children we interact with daily. May we seek ways to bless the lives of all children — everywhere. The world needs more love.
P.S. My outfit look was created by “oldie but goodie” pieces from my personal wardrobe. My top is from Forever21 (here is a cute one here, here), my hat I purchased at a bargain steal for $5.00 last season at Burlington Coat Factory (check this one here, here), and my colorful maxi skirt was re-purposed to a long skirt by my tailor (check out this fun one here, here). It was once a favorite maternity dress with a bodice and shoulder straps I bought at Target a few years ago. I love being able to shop in my own closet!
