Meet SHEIN’s New Silk Collection – MOTF

I have been a long time shopper of SHEIN. They have the most budget-friendly pieces that are always on trend. When browsing their site I always find a few things that I love and my two teenage daughters seem to make my shopping cart even bigger with their selections. You really can’t go wrong with shopping at SHEIN and it seriously has pieces for the entire family. One of the things I love about SHEIN is that it allows you to try out trends without breaking your bank. Sometimes, you just don’t know if that latest trend (i.e. tie dye pullover & sweatpants set) will actually translate well for you. So, instead of making a big ticket purchase on an item you may never wear more than once; you can take an easy fashion risk with shopping at SHEIN! I have done it plenty of times and honestly most of the pieces I took a chance on – I still wear today.

As a fashion influencer, I have the opportunity to try a variety of brands and styles. It is so fun to try on pieces that really stand out and make a bold statement. However, lately I have been more mindful of my fashion choices and leaning towards pieces that are classic and transitional. Don’t get me wrong I really love a fun and trendy piece and I would say I have had more of a trendy fashion aesthetic. But, since getting older, I have really come to appreciate and seek after clothing pieces that are constructed well and versatile. I really want to maximize my purchase power with a garment I can wear time and time again.

Elevated Essentials

SHEIN has launched a new clothing line of premium pieces that I absolutely love and I am so excited to tell you about it. I have been wearing premium clothing pieces from MOFT for quite some time. I can’t tell you how excited I was to find out when they launched their new premium line. I felt that it was just what SHEIN needed. A fresh collection of garments and accessories that were more elevated and luxurious. The MOFT pieces that I own I look for reasons to wear out. Now, that things are opening up more in California I am so excited to show off my new exclusive pieces. White Silk

This mama is no longer scared of owning silk anymore and make that “white silk” for all that matters. It does help that I no longer have babies that I need to carry at the hip, feed constantly, and change their diapers all day (oh, how I miss those days). If you are at that time in life; don’t let it stop you from owning a silk garment. Like I mentioned earlier in my blog post, it is about maximizing your wardrobe. Ladies, invest now in that silk piece. While silk pieces cost more upfront, their price-per-wear is lower than cheaper, inferior garments. There is always an occasion you will want to wear a white silk blouse and there are countless ways to style them as well. This elegant MOFT 100% silk long sleeve blouse in white is absolutely luxurious. It is so comfortable to wear. The matte finish creates a buttery soft texture that is so exquisite wear and touch. I love the easy pullover style and drop shoulder sleeves. The blouse length is perfect to tuck in or leave out.

It comes in four beautiful colors: white, black, dusty grey and army green. I am wearing a size large. I could of sized down to a medium if I wanted too. It has a nice billowy effect and is roomy. I love the sweet button details at the cuff. And remember with silk to hand wash cold or dry clean. Do not machine wash.

Pleated Skirt

I have been on the lookout for a stylish pleated skirt forever. A pleated skirt has the playfulness of a cute little school girl, the youthful vibe is what I love. However, I am not going for the look “cute”. I want a pleated skirt that is a sophisticated and elevated; refined for a woman like me who values on-trend classic looks. This PU leather pleated skirt from MOTF fits the bill. It has everything that I am looking for in a traditional pleated skirt but with unique details that make it modern and chic. First of all, anything in leather or faux leather is just sleek! The coffee brown color is the perfect shade for spring and summer; black would just be too harsh for the season. And the gold button details really lend to a contemporary flair.

Notice the pleats on one side of the skirt is gathered more distantly than the others giving it an unique detail. The skirt hits right above your knees and is a tasteful length for me. I am wearing a size large but could of ordered a medium as well as the fabric at the waistline does have some give but not too much. The high-waist makes it comfortable to wear and easy to tuck your favorite blouse with.

Accessories Accessories

A look is not complete without accessories. Let me repeat again. A look is not complete without accessories. I love to accessories my look with things like jewelry, sunglasses and handbags. My favorite accessory is earrings and especially large gold hoop earrings. JLO made hoop earrings popular in the day and honestly since then there is not a time I don’t want to wear my hoop earrings. I love jewelry pieces that are big and kept my jewelry simple with just my big old hoops.

If I am going to spurge, I do like to invest in a designer handbag. Are you guys the same way? I am a handbag lover! This Saint Laurent quilted handbag in the color black is my absolutely favorite.
