Four months ago, I took my first food and drink intolerance test from YorkTest Laboratories. During the last year or so, I was suffering from major digestive issues. Every time I ate something, my belly would immediately become bloated, and it was painful. There were other digestive issues I had to deal with, but I was much too shy to publicly share them with you. Needless to say, I was tired of living that way. I knew if I could identify what foods were contributing to my symptoms, I could heal myself. The results of my test were astounding (and I will go over that in greater detail in a future post). I was eager to begin my path of gut recovery.
This food and drink intolerance test was so impactful and health-enhancing that I had to share it with others — starting first with my very own family. It was important that my family received this same gift of knowledge. I truly believe that your wellness begins with your gut. As the primary shopper and cook of my family, it is critical that I know what to shop for at the grocery store. And, let’s not forget all of the hidden ingredients. Your diet has a huge impact on your health. What you eat and what you drink matters. When you learn what is causing your bloating, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, and pain in the belly, you are empowered to make the best choices for your diet and nutrition.
My husband and two daughters took the standard Food&Drink Scan, and my son, who is eight years old, took a similar test for kids called the FoodScan Junior. Do note that this test is not an allergy test and that any food changes to your child’s diet should not be made without first consulting a doctor. I am here to tell you that once you alter your diet in accordance with your test results, you will notice a huge improvement within a few weeks. My family’s digestive health has improved since taking this test! And, one other bonus is that we received the Nutritionist Therapist support that YorkTest Laboratories provides.
