I would like to start the month of November with a ‘Giving Thanks’ post!  It feels so good to announce that and even therapeutic to write about it too.  There is something healing and strengthening when you write down your thoughts. And with a blog like mine I am forced to dig deep into my heart, mind, and creative powers to communicate ideas and feelings that are sometimes difficult to describe unless you are experiencing it in “real-time!”

Yes, you guessed it!  I am thankful for my three children.  And, oh man am I experiencing motherhood in “real-time!” Motherhood is the kind of thing you jump into without a helmet on and start driving and maybe in the dark! There is no owner’s manual, guide book, or road map.  I admit there are moments I have no idea what I am doing. Sometimes, that thought scares me.  But, I know that I am not alone as I have a wonderful husband and loving Heavenly Father to guide me.

I may not be well versed with the “know-how” of effective parenting skills (I am trying my best each and everyday) but what I feel inherently divinely to do makes up for that.  I am divinely inspired to love my children with all of me – my entire soul! I created them with my body.  I can feel their pains, hurts, disappointments and also their joy, excitement, curiosities and victories. It is a beautiful and almost mystical thing.

My children have a direct link to my heart.  They are my greatest teachers because of them I am constantly improving my patience, compassion, understanding, tolerance, selflessness and charity.  They help me become more Christ-like.  These pictures here of my children capture their spirit, beauty, goodness, and bond.  I cherish these pictures — extraordinary moments frozen in time, captured so perfectly by Rafael Guajardo!  He calls this “Capturing the Soul of Love!” Don’t you feel that looking at these stunning pictures of my children?
