It’s official, California has entered its second phase of reopening earlier this month, which means that some local lower-risk businesses (such as curbside retail and manufacturing) and public spaces, such as park and beaches, are now allowed to gradually reopen with some restrictions and strict social distancing measures still in place. This is phase two of the four-tiered plan announced by Governor Gavin Newsom, which works in stages on a county by county basis, with some higher-density counties such as Los Angeles subject to stricter measures.
I don’t know about you but I was starting to enjoy this time at home with my family, not to mention all the money saved from not going out for dinner and a movie with the kids. But if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that we’ve been doing major renovations at home, so let’s just say that I wouldn’t mind escaping the house for an hour or two to go on a beach walk!
However, having more liberty doesn’t mean that we should be acting like everything’s back to normal just yet. This pandemic is not over and we’re all still at risk of contracting Covid-19 and some more than others (your elderly neighbours, your immunocompromised friend), which means that we all need to take precautions until further notice. As recommended by the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one of the easiest things that you can do to protect yourself, and more importantly others, is wearing a face mask!
Canopus Group, that sells FDA Registered N95 Respirator Masks. The difference between these and a simple disposable paper mask or a cloth mask is major. While these specific N95 masks by Canopus Group are designed for non-medical use, they are made of multiple layers that filter at least 95% of both small and large non-oil-based airborne particles (such as the ones from someone sneezing or coughing) and aerosols.
What I love about these masks by Canopus Group is that they are actually comfortable and breathable! I have found it challenging to find a mask that fits and seals properly around my mouth and my nose, but these masks have a metal nose clip that molds to your face. I also like the fact that they are washable and reusable and, since washing may reduce effectiveness, they come in a pack of 2, which means that you can simply dispose of your mask and replace it with a new one as needed.
Canopus Group, the company that manufactures and sells these masks, is located in Orange County, California and the masks are made here, in the United States. With many businesses now requiring a face covering to be able to enter, there is no better time to support our local businesses, so please consider them before purchasing masks from abroad; they offer same-day shipping and have warehouses on both coasts for fast delivery!
1 You should always refer to the manufacturer’s instructions and CDC Guides for proper use of N95 masks.
The staff at Canopus works hard to fulfill all the orders the same day or next day. They are working 7 days a week to help people in need of these masks. Please contact them at customercare@canopusgroup.us for your inquiries and at sales@canopusgroup.us for orders larger than 1,000 sets. Average response time is under 1 hour including weekends.

A simple show of respect and kindness to others. Please, wear a face mask.
Glad to see you speaking out about the importance of wearing a mask! And you are so right that it is a simple way to show resepect and kindness for others.
I couldn’t agree more with the importance of wearing a mask! Also, great to see how much research you put behind everything.
I admit, I hate wearing masks. But, these seem like they have more room and are more breathable.
I wear a fabric mask when I go out but I find them hard to breathe in at times. This mask looks so much more comfortable.
Great hearing about the importance of wearing a mask! I agree it’s a way to show respect and kindness! Loved your post!
Thanks for these useful info. I use medical masks every day, but we need to travel soon so I was thinking about N95 masks and I was wondering if we can use them more than 2 hour and if they are comfortable. Now I know that these masks are the right solution for us!
I’ve been wearing a fabric mask that my sister-in-law made for me, but it can be hot and sometimes it’s hard to breathe. This looks like it would be much easier to breathe in.
This is really helpful. It is really important that we know the difference between these face masks. Thank you!
I have ordered these masks many times and wear them everyday. However, the post is wrong. They are not made in the US, only shipped from California. Unfortunately, they are made in China.
Thanks for letting me know.
So which is it made in usa or china??
I cannot find anything that shows that these masks are what they claim to be. There is a lot of misleading information. They are made in China. We need to be careful about what we buy online because there are a lot of bogus n95 masks for sale. I bought some also, from Canopus without doing some research, then when I did I felt I had I really been taken in by another misleading scam. My fault for not doing my homework.
This mask was not registered by the FDA, the FDA registration screenshot was doctored from a legitimate 3M n95 respirator. It has the exact same specifications except for the company name which is “Medical Products Co Ltd”
This mask also has ear loops which n95 masks should not have since head and neck strap provide better seal. It was supposedly tested by the Colorado University but they did not have any publications on it. The establishment number when checked does not give you a N95 respirator but a cold pack. One other think that was a red flag for fraud was that it was only 5 star reviews with 2 4 stars, also I could not post my review.
