Happy Sunday friends. I need to get something off of my chest.

1. Recap of the Week:
This past week was filled with doctor appointments, including one for 13-year-old Elijah, who has now mastered the art of putting in contacts. Meanwhile, I took on the road, driving to two consultations—one in Los Angeles and the other in Temecula—as part of my mission to find the perfect plastic surgeon for my upcoming breast implant explant surgery. It was crucial to find the one that best suited my needs.
2. Work Chronicles:
I recently took the plunge and invested in a new WordPress blog theme. Additionally, I made another payment for a new site setup and theme implementation through my WordPress Manager. These changes are set to give my blog a significant upgrade in terms of appearance. I’m thrilled about the upcoming transformation and optimistic that it will attract more traffic and readers.

3. Sweat Session Diary:
Managing my workout schedule has been a bit challenging lately. I’m putting in my best effort to stay consistent with my exercise sessions. The winter season, with its early darkness and cold temperatures, tends to dampen my motivation. Additionally, multiple doctor appointments have made time management a bit tricky. In light of these challenges, I’m learning to be gentle with myself. Despite the hurdles, I’m proud to say that I managed to work out four times this week—a small victory worth celebrating.
4. Family Matters:
Chloe achieved an impressive third place in the Smooth Championship at the Cal Chic Classic Ballroom Competition! Watching her dance and perform with her partner was incredibly enjoyable. This marks her final year at Orange County School of the Arts – Ballroom Conservatory. After the event, we returned home exhausted, and I spent the entire day in bed today. January has been a whirlwind of busy weekends with our kids’ activities, making it challenging for me to find time to rest.
To commemorate Chloe’s achievement, I treated her to dinner at a nearby Pho restaurant after the competition. While we usually skip appetizers, I decided to indulge her with calamari, her favorite. However, the calamari served turned out to be a bit too exotic for my taste, featuring the tentacles of the seafood. Despite my initial hesitation, I managed to eat a few pieces. It was a departure from the thin rings of calamari I’ve had in the past. Nevertheless, we both enjoyed our Pho. Check out Mr Pho California Kitchen and Bar in Anaheim, California.
5. Behind the Scenes of Content Creation
The timeless black-and-white color combination has always held a special place in my heart. In one of my blog posts this week, I delve into the elegance of this classic pairing, accompanied by absolutely lovely photos. Let me tell you, posing outside in Utah in December was no easy feat—I was cold to the bone! Despite the chilly weather, the photos turned out great, thanks to my cousin Jeanine, who not only knows my angles but also makes me feel like a million bucks. Check out her photography portfolio.
I’ve decided to try something different by sharing this newsletter content with my blog readers. It’s a bit of an experiment, aiming to boost SEO with unique topics. What makes this newsletter special is its personal touch—it delves into my intimate feelings and daily experiences that often don’t find a place on my blog. My goal for this year is to be more open about my joys and struggles as both a mom and a content creator.
6. Shopaholic Diaries:
In a nutshell, my breast implant explant surgery is now scheduled for this Friday! A spot unexpectedly opened up, and I made the decision to seize the opportunity. Though I’m nervous, I’m also excited about the prospect of feeling better. Originally, I had planned to wait until May or June for the surgery, but this unexpected opening in the schedule prompted me to move it up. This shorter timeframe allows me to recover in time for Elijah’s national volleyball tournament in Puerto Rico this March. By summer, I should be mostly healed, ready to embrace life and enjoy the summer, especially with Emi and Chloe moving out for college at the end of the summer.

To prepare for the recovery process, I’ve purchased a few recommended items on Amazon: a post-surgery mastectomy pillow, a post-surgery drainage pouch, a blouse designed for mastectomy surgery with special pockets for drains, and a wireless seamless post-surgery bra. These are quite the unique buys for me on Amazon!
7. Community Spotlight:
Exciting news, everyone! I welcomed two new subscribers this past week! Your support means the world to me. In this vast world of blogs and magazines, being a smaller presence, having you subscribe is truly heartwarming. Thank you for your continued support!

I’m utilizing the next few days wisely to get everything in order. Additionally, Chloe has Winter Formal this Saturday, and on Sunday, Elijah is participating in a beach volleyball tournament.
