Embrace Corduroy for Fall + Enter to Win $500 Sephora Gift Card
I remember in my teens years wearing a lot of corduroy. At the time it was in fashion and it can get extremely cold in Utah during fall and winter. This stiff and ribbed fabric kept me warm but it was often boring. Fast forward to today, corduroy has taken on a new meaning! There are different styles and colors to please any fashionista. Corduroy has been given a complete upgrade.
Rise of Corduroy
My adobe pink corduroy skirt from Chadwicks of Boston is far from boring. I also love the material because it is soft and flexible due to the stretch in the fabric. The stretch is great because it provides a feminine shape as corduroy styles can be boxy. Also, the back vent or small slit in the skirt combined with the stretch allows me to navigate my day comfortably. The comfort waistband supports your waist with the perfect amount of snugness and is easy to take off and on.
This fall don’t shrug off corduroy and think that it is boring! I have curated a few pieces of my favorite corduroy styles for fall. These pieces will become an essential piece in creating a fall look that is on trend and cozy.

Savage Happenings
It has been a busy week here at our house. Our mornings’ start is 5:45 AM as I wake up my eldest daughter Emi to get her ready for seminary before school. I attended the girls’ back-to-school night yesterday and just amazed by the incredible teachers and students who at OCSA! Elijah started Cub Scouts this week and really loves it! One of my tasks is to get him his scouts uniform asap. He is going to look so dang cute in it!
It is starting to get darker earlier in the evenings here in Southern California. I am really loving the cooler weather too. When darkness hits I get really excited because I love the energy of the night…maybe I am just a dark person! LOL! The earth is so beautiful! We are going to relax this weekend, catch up on sleep, and just spend time together simply doing nothing!
Have a great weekend and make sure to enter to win a $500 gift card to Sephora! What a great prize, right? See you on Monday!

I also have a corduroy mini skirt in light pink. I wear it with plain white shirt and white canvas shoes. 🙂 I like to keep things simple and fresh.
I would have never guessed that’s corduroy at first glance! It’s so cute and much better than the style so many years ago.
Wow, I haven’t worn corduroy since I was a child… That skirt looks lovely, and such a warm fabric too – perfect for autumn and winter!
I haven’t worn corduroy in years, probably since I was a kid. Love the color though and glad you talk about it’s comfort and stretch because I would not have thought of corduroy as stretchy or comfortable!
You showcase that skirt beautifully. I am happy to hear the praise you have for the teachers at your children’s school. As a teacher it warms my heart.
You are certainly a beautiful model and the outfit is stunning! I haven’t worn corduroy for a long time, but I do like the fine wale corduroy better than the wider style.
Loved your pictures, you look beautiful! The part where you mentioned corduroy just reminded me that I should reach out to corduroy items in my wardrobe this fall, haven’t done that in ages.
You look amazing- so beautiful! I’m glad corduroy is back- I always loved that you can dress it up or down! It’s also so comfortable when you find the right pieces!
You showcase them well, the color also suits you well. Looks like you have a new fabric entering your closet this winter. I am also happy to hear about the feel and comfort change as I was also not happy with the old material, too noisy when you walked 🙂
Loving that outfit! The pairing of the black top with the pale pink skirt is my favorite!
My fav is corduroy bell bottoms! Miss that 70s style and love rocking them during autumn. Will need to look into a jacket this season!
Great outfit! I love changing up pieces for fall. Fall and winter are my favorite seasons! I didn’t even knew corduroy was back!
You look beautiful <3
