In my recent post on Sweater Dress Style I shared with you my love for dresses! I would rather wear a dress than a pair of jeans any day. Why? I love dresses because they are feminine, soft, and alluring. I love the way I feel wearing a great dress. It makes me feel connected to my femininity! Even though I am on TEAM DRESS, I love the way I feel wearing skinny jeans too (all styles of jeans) — cool, classic, and swanky! Wearing a DENIM DRESS combines the best from both worlds!
A denim dress is a must-have because it makes a great layering piece for both warm and colder months. When you invest in a denim dress, you can get great mileage out of it. Living in Southern California, I can get by with with over the knee boots for fall. But when it gets colder — and it is definitely getting colder now in Orange County — you easily can incorporate tights, leggings, or over the knee socks with your denim dress for warmth and styling pizzazz.
A denim dress is such a versatile piece of clothing because you can easily build your look around it. You can dress it up or dress it down! I love this denim dress I found at Nordstorm Rack! It was on clearance and I snatched it up right way. But, don’t worry — I will hand pick some great ones for you to shop at the end of this post! The neckline is classic with a touch of modern because of the upside down triangular peek-a-boo cut out and the long, vertical zipper in the back that gives my look some attitude to this tried-and-true-blue classic!
A denim dress requires little or no styling since it has an effortless style factor. However, you can decide to add accessories, like this amazing convertible bag from Nena & Co. Nena & Co also has beautiful large pom tassels that you can add on to your purse for a totally signature look! My over the knee heel boots are from Dolce Vita. They are bound to stand out with any denim dress because of the style, color and length. These boots are my favorite!
I decided to wear my hair down because the contrast between my dark locks against the denim blue color looks outstandingly pretty. One of my favorite hair tool to get my bouncy curls is my Hot Tools Professional 1102 Curling Iron with Multi-Heat Control, 1 1/2 inch curling iron. It gets hot really fast and the curls stay for a long time. A must have for girls like me with thick, textured, naturally curly hair.

Okay, ladies! Are you excited to see my curated picks for a denim dress!?! I decided to narrow down my selection to one store — Nordstrom Rack because this is originally where I spotted mine. This dress came under $14.00 — which is a total steal!!! How can something so cute be so inexpensive? Well, I do have mad skills in finding the best deals!
