Let’s talk about socks. Yes—socks! Specifically, the sock dilemma I didn’t know I was having until recently. For years, I’ve been a devoted fan of no-show socks. My go-to? The classic multi-pack from Costco. They were practical, easy, and invisible—just the way I liked it. But according to my daughter (and pretty much everyone on TikTok), no-show socks are officially out.
At first, I resisted the idea. Hard pass. Why fix what isn’t broken, right? But after hearing again from my daughter that no-show socks were so out of style, I paused and thought… why not try something new?

So I did what any curious fashion-loving mom would do—I started browsing online and landed on some cute ankle and crew sock options from Target. And friends, I was pleasantly surprised!
What I’ve always loved about no-show socks is how they don’t interfere with your outfit. No worrying about colors clashing or socks peeking out awkwardly. Plus, having muscular calves made me hesitate with taller socks—most would dig in and leave those uncomfortable indentations that I didn’t love the look of.

But things have changed. I found a few ankle-length socks with a little bit of spandex (hello, comfort!), and wow—game changer! They hug just right without cutting in, and they actually add something to my outfit instead of taking away from it. I never thought I’d say this, but ankle socks are kind of cute! Stylish, even.
It’s funny how one small switch—something as simple as socks—can update your entire look. I now find myself reaching for ankle-length pairs more and more, especially when I’m in my athleisure looks, which brings me to this outfit I’m wearing and loving.

Today, I styled my new ankle socks with the cutest hot pink set from Fabletics. The matching top and leggings are vibrant and bold—the kind of color that instantly lifts your mood. The top has a built-in bra (love that), and I layered it with their flirty crossover skirt that works perfectly whether I’m hitting the court or just running errands.
To finish off the look, I’m wearing my favorite white Nike ball cap and clean white Nike running shoes. I used to shy away from wearing white because I worried about keeping it clean or drawing too much attention—but honestly? Life is too short to put things off. I say wear the white. Enjoy the moment.

And I have to mention my latest find—this luxe Bulova Two-Tone Stainless Steel Watch I found at Costco (yes, again!). It adds a polished, elevated touch to my sporty outfit without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for an elegant timepiece at an incredible value, I can’t recommend it enough.
So here’s to trying new things—even when it’s as small as your socks. Fashion is meant to evolve, and it’s okay if we evolve with it. I still love my Costco no-shows and probably always will, but I’m proud of myself for being open-minded and embracing something new.
