A Splendid Mix of Textures

One of my go-to secrets in looking effortlessly stylish is knowing how to mix textures.  And, I’ll let you in on a little secret — there is no right or wrong way to do it!  The only wrong thing is not experimenting!  I am excited to offer you a few suggestions.  Aim to mix varying textures in your tops, bottoms, accessories, bags, and shoes for a look that is personal to you.  Staying true to your sense of style will allow you to shine in the most splendid way!

Let me show you how this is done.  See how I combined this soft knit textured classic sweater with this stylishly bold animal print crossbody bag.  This is a great example in combining different textures for an effortlessly chic look. The key is to mix a neutral piece with an uniquely bold accent piece. This strategy always works to create a look that is both attractive and interesting!  Think about the fun and impressive expressions of opposites attract, your the ying to my yang, and simplicity and complexity need each other.  They are wise sayings that speak truth about life, relationships, and even with style!
