One of my go-to secrets in looking effortlessly stylish is knowing how to mix textures. And, I’ll let you in on a little secret — there is no right or wrong way to do it! The only wrong thing is not experimenting! I am excited to offer you a few suggestions. Aim to mix varying textures in your tops, bottoms, accessories, bags, and shoes for a look that is personal to you. Staying true to your sense of style will allow you to shine in the most splendid way!
Let me show you how this is done. See how I combined this soft knit textured classic sweater with this stylishly bold animal print crossbody bag. This is a great example in combining different textures for an effortlessly chic look. The key is to mix a neutral piece with an uniquely bold accent piece. This strategy always works to create a look that is both attractive and interesting! Think about the fun and impressive expressions of opposites attract, your the ying to my yang, and simplicity and complexity need each other. They are wise sayings that speak truth about life, relationships, and even with style!
I love Talbot’s Basket-Weave and Pebble-Stitched Sweater. It provides a classic and clean foundation to build any look upon. Casual, sophisticated and most importantly comfortable. I love that will go with anything in my closet. Pairing this classic sweater with Talbot’s Turnlock Crossbody Bag – Leopard Haircalf with its jungle-inspired print produces a style that is praise-worthy! This leopard haircalf bag will look phenomenal with so many outfits while helping me keep organized. Bonus points!
Don’t be afraid to mix varying textures together. I hope this style post inspires you to experiment and try new things. Share with me your favorite neutral or wild accent piece that ups your style game. Thank you Talbots for gifting me with these fabulous pieces. I think you will love them too!

Yes! I love experimenting. The best way to express your style personality. My favorite neutral piece I would probably have to say is a fabulous shoe. It’s a great partnering color to any look you put together. You look fabulous!
Thank you! When I was younger and didn’t really pay too much to style and instinctively created pieces with a neutral element. And now that I a fashion blogger it is cool to see I got this styling tip down without deliberate thought! Love sharing this journey with you! Thank you again for visiting my blog and leaving a comment!
