September 22, 2020 is the first day of fall. There are so many things to look forward to despite the pandemic. What I am excited about is pumpkin–flavored foods, being able to layer clothing, and resetting my fitness routine.
Fall is the perfect time to reevaluate your current fitness regimen to make sure you are in tip–top shape for the season and the upcoming winter months. Times may be uncertain right now, and world events seem to change minute by minute.
But, what we can control is our health and wellness. This one priority will pay off in so many ways in your life. Putting your health first allows you to handle stress better.
Putting your health first gives your immunity a solid base during the colder months (i.e. flu season), and putting your health first gives you the locus of control of your well–being, which is empowering.
It is time to take it seriously. Do this for you! I am excited to share with you three simple tips to help you feel confident with your new fitness routine, or to make slight adjustments to your current routine to enhance your wellness.

Tip 1: Give your fitness apparel an upgrade. Ask any women if they feel more motivated to work out when they wear new workout clothes. The resounding answer is yes. To keep yourself warm during your workouts whether inside the home or out, you need a zip–up hoodie that has high–performance fabric, moisture-wicking properties, and will keep you warm and cozy. I love Peach’s new Empower Hoodie that creates easy layering to and from the gym and around town.
Exercise leggings are another thing you should invest in for a fall fitness reset. Look for one that has internal and exterior pockets to provide you the functionality you need to carry your credit card and cell phone with ease. I love flatlock seams that minimize chafe, and an internal gusset that allows for free range of motion. I get all of this and more with Peach’s Signature Leggings.
Tip 2: Hydration is key to feeling your best. You should be drinking water all the time. Quenching your thirst only when you are thirsty does you no favors. By that point, your body has already been dehydrated. Carry a water bottle in your car, your bag or near your computer desk. Have one readily available for quick hydration pick-me-ups. I love this Rose Gold Sports Bottle from Hydracy. This water bottle has a time marker to help you stay hydrated throughout the day. I love that I can track my water intake this way. It makes it so easy! Hydracy water bottles also include a fruit infusion strainer and a “27 Detox Fruit-Infused Water Recipes“ eBook bonus. Use my coupon code DEBBIE for 15% off your Hydracy order on their website only. Cheers to hydration!
Tip 3: Consider your footwear. It is time to retire old athletic shoes that do not offer any more comfort and support. You definitely don’t want to skimp on fitness shoes. I am speaking from experience, as I have had my feet operated on three times – wearing shoes that support my feet and are comfortable are major criteria in my shoe selection that I don’t take lightly. Lately, I have been really enjoying wearing shoes that are easy to slip on. Who has time to fuss around with crazy shoelaces? I have also found a shoe that I can wear for basic workouts that are perfect for everyday wear. Definitely check out these Everyday Sneakers from Cuccoo. They feel so comfortable on – they feel just like you are walking on clouds. I love the way they support my feet during easy workouts, and honestly, I just keep them on my feet all day because they are easy to wear and feel so GOOD on.
These are my three easy tips to help you get a start on your fall fitness reset. It is little adjustments like these that make a major difference.
